Frequently asked questions

How do I record a sale?

Open the app, tap “New sale”, choose a product (or enter a custom item on the spot), pick how the customer paid — cash, MoMo, card, bank or credit — and save. It takes a few seconds, even at a busy counter.

How does the daily close work?

At the end of the day, open “Close the day”. You see total sales, money split by method, your top items and any low-stock alerts in one screen. Review it, confirm, and your day is closed and recorded.

How do debtor reminders work?

When you record a sale as credit, DayClose keeps it against that customer. From the customer’s page you can log part-payments and send a one-tap WhatsApp reminder with the outstanding balance. DayClose never collects the money for you — it just helps you follow up.

How do I export my records?

Your data is yours. From the app you can export your sales, inventory and debtors as CSV files at any time and open them in Excel, Google Sheets or share them with your accountant.

Is my data safe?

Your records are stored in a PostgreSQL database, passwords are securely hashed, and login sessions are signed. We never sell your data and we never hold or move your money. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

What if I have no internet?

DayClose needs a connection to save and sync your records. On a weak network it will keep trying — wait until you have signal again before recording large batches. We recommend closing the day where you have a stable connection so nothing is lost.
